I see that the Celestial bbs has now changed its format without notice ahead of time.
While the keps still work in Nova OK, it does not work with Uni-track.
So how do I fix it???
I have used the Celestial BBS for years because it was straight text, no compacting, or fancy stuff that caused problems with Uni-track.
Why the change???

I can't find any explanation for why Celestrak added these status designators, but your best bet is to simply edit them out of the text file with Notepad or your favorite text editor. A search-and-replace for anything in brackets should do the job nicely. You might want to run SORTNENG first (available from AMSAT's download area) to delete any sats not of interest to you, so that you only have to edit a few.
BTW, SatPC32 doesn't seem to care about them...

You can get the TLE's from Aus-City.com and TLE.info as we are not adding any extra stuff. Right from USSPACECOM, as they provide them.

Hi,
I found this a couple of days ago when I war porting Predict to Java again for the latest Java JVM. Fortunately I use the catnum rather that the name.
Nova certainly uses the catnum to identify the satellite and I guess that SatPC32 does the same, so that it's independent of name.

This isn't true. SATPC32 will graphically track the birds with the new improved Clestrak Kep's, BUT won't do any frequency Doppler correction, as the file containing the frequency information(DOPPLER.SQF) would have to be changed also. There, SATPC32 looks for a match containing the full name, you would have to re-edit the file everytime a sat changed status. I sent an email to Erich.........
