I am having a problem getting SatPC32 satellite frequency control to work. I have a IC-9100 radio and an Apple Pro laptop connected via a USB cable. Com ports 1 & 2 and SiliconLabs CP210x USB to UART bridge are listed in my PC ports list. Inputing these ports into the SatPC32 program does not do anything. The frequency display on the IC-9100 does not change even after a reboot . Can someone take me through the proper steps?
Hi,
Please go to SatPC32 and click on the "?" in the menu bar. Select "Hints (Radio)" and read the section on Icom radios. It is all well explained.
1. Verify the com port in Windows, Systems Properties, Device Manager
2, You need to use the lower of the two.
3. Set the Icom to baudrate 192000 menu# 60 and verify the CI-V address menu# 61 (eg 7ch)
Use that information for the setup as described above in the helpfile and follow the instructions
That should be it,
