The schedule on ao27.org has been a little off for a few months now and shows AO-27 as being on when it is well past the USA. The schedule on the satellite is working good though, and will turn on when it is about 29 degrees North on ascending passes. So FD stations can assume it will turn on for the afternoon passes, although of course it will be off for the night passes. I worked it a few days ago and it was sounding great.
