Hi all, Just tried to find out how the orbit will look.
Very unscientific I just used FENGYUN 3A and modified the Mean Motion to 13.19 orbits per day. Then the height becomes approximately 1200 km.
As far as I can find out, FENGYUN 3A was sent up from the same spaceport as XW-1 will be.
I used NOVA for Windows. It allows the change without complaint :-) 73 OZ1MY Ib
I've also been watching the AMSAT satellite status page:

Spies tell me this entry has been updated with the latest information received from China.

Wow, this is shaping up to be a worthy successor to FO-29, whose orbit is about 900 x 1300km if I remember correctly. 1200 is just great!
Moreover, with both FM and linear transponder on board, it will make an excellent satellite to help people transition from FM to the linear birds, since only one variable, the mode of the rig, will have to be changed in one's setup.
