I made ten contacts through satellite SO-50 to successfully activate this park for the National Parks on The Air (NPOTA) contest. Bodie Island (pronounced “body”) is on the Cape Hatteras National Seashore which is the actual national park (not the lighthouse, which is just in it). The park is on the Outer Banks barrier islands of North Carolina. There are several lighthouses on the Outer Banks and all of them are beautiful.
