Robert, could you tell if the trasmitter on was ON during eclipse, or did it come on when it entered sunlight?

Those Landwehrs are great preamps. I had an issue similar to Mark's, except it was the transmit side of the Tohtsu relay that had the problem. I could receive fine but had high SWR during TX. Unlike Mark, I did risk a shot of spray, which didn't cure the problem. But then ran a sheet of paper between the contacts and it has worked fine ever since.

AO-51 was in great shape as it passed south above the Pacific Ocean
this morning (6/3/2011 1410z). No one else was on, but I had a nice
S9+ full quieting downlink on my uplink for the entire pass.
The birds footprint was still in daylight when it went LOS, so even
though it was 1000mi west of the sun line when it dipped below my
horizon, it was still in sunlight at that point.
