Any way I can get AOS.EXE to run on Win7 64-bit?
I really like the simplicity of this program... it does what I want.
I am relatively new to both Win 7 and 64-bit; is there a simple way to get it running in this OS? A compatibility mode, or some sort of emulator/wrapper?

I didn't have to do anything special to get it to run on my Win7/64 machine...
Did you install SatPC32 to the default folder (Program Files\SatPC32)? Win7's User Account Control can cause problems if programs are installed to the Program Files folder, and you are not running as Administrator.

I only have AOS.exe and its files, dropped them in their own folder in /Program Files/ and ran as admin.

That may be the problem... Are you using the standalone AOS from www.dk1tb.de, or the one that comes bundled with SatPC32? The standalone version is listed on the Downloads page as a "DOS version." Not sure if it will run under Win7. The version bundled with SatPC32 expects to find the keps file in C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\SatPC32\Kepler\ . Not sure if it has any other dependencies.
Erich, the author, is on this list & will probably chime in...

The Stand-alone version (AOS205?). I had this running in XP, but my new work laptop has Win7 64 bit. I have Nova, and can use the scripting function to generate the same thing, but I liked this little program. The error messages I get do indicate it is a "64 bit" issue (but despite setting compatibility mode to Win95, it still won't run.
Thanks all for your input.

I suggest doing a right click on the exe, troubleshoot compatibility, try recommended settings, start the program. 73, W7IN
