Icom W32A full-duplex dual-band HT for sale
Having acquired an Icom 9700 last year I have moved on to linear satellites (and even some EME!). I'm retiring my Icom IC-W32A which is one of the few dual-band full-duplex HTs ever made.
Mine is in great shape, having always been inside the custom Icom vinyl case and actually quite lightly used. I just had the power out checked on a Bird wattmeter and it showed 4.5 watts on both bands with the internal battery for power. I THINK it may go slightly higher on external 12VDC but didn't check it. As for power options, I have the Yaesu BC-110A AC adapter, the Yaesu CP-12 car charger, a 12 VDC cord with Powerpoles, and the Yaesu BP-170 battery case for alkalines/whatever. The internal battery is virtually new with maybe 5 charge/discharge cycles on it. At 1000 mAh, it's higher rated than the original BP-173 which only had a 650 mAh rating.
The ONLY problem I know of with this radio is that the internal speaker output is low and slightly distorted. But it works perfectly loud and clear with the external speaker/mic which I will of course include.
The original antenna, instruction manual and even the original shipping box are also included.
As for pricing, I see several recent sales on eBay at $200-plus. I also see some for sale there around $100 but they are "for parts", or "as-is" or have no/few accessories, old batteries, etc. SO, I'd like to see this rig get some use as a satellite station and I'd sell it for $175 including shipping.
Let me know if you are interested and I can send some pictures or more info.
BTW, if you DO buy the W32, note that it has only one antenna output so if you get an Arrow antenna (I love mine!) or similar, be sure to get the one with built-in duplexer. I'd sell you that as well, but we use it in a portable setup with the 9700 at Field Day to get that 100-point satellite contact bonus for the local club.
