Hi Alan,
Is the plan to leave the satellite on all the time once you know that it's working 100% ?

Hi Alan, BA1DU
The schedule HO-68 Jan 04-10 for linear transponder is no good for South of Europe because the elevation of the satellite is very low and the acquisition time is too short for Italy
If it is possible I suggest you to make a new schedule for the future with the HO-68 linear transponder ON all possible orbits for one week and the HO-68 FM and Digital Transponder ON all possible orbits for the following week.
I checked all possible orbits of HO-68 linear transponder suitable for Italy between Jan 04-10 but unfortunately only four orbits are possible with very low elevation and short time of operation.
In addition I found that the following orbit of your schedule is not covering Europe.

TANKS for your cooperation.

When footprints cover multiple countries at the same time, do you speak English, or local language to stations in your country?
Elan - WB2IOL
You speak whichever language both you and the other operator are happy with. There is no compulsion to speak English other than your callsign.

Good question,
I prefer in English. There are other operators listening and so they can understand the conversation. I hear a lot of Russian speaking operators on some fm birds. That way you don't know if they are pirates or amateurs. I don't understand a callsign in Russian and I don't know what they are talking about.
