The AO-51 repeater uplink was switched to 145.88 on the 2215 pass tonight. I realize there are multiple grid dxpeditions out and about, but that does not excuse some of the operating I heard tonight. If another station is in the middle of a QSO, stand by and let them finish. If you start to transmit and can't hear yourself, or you hear someone else in the downlink, stop transmitting and let them make the call. Finally, if you've worked that grid, or that station, or that country, how about taking a breather and letting someone else work it for a new one.

ROFL, Yep! That's your typical FM bird all right. A Circus. CQ Breaker! CQ Breaker! Let's Build More Ten-Four!
Listening close, you can figure out why Drew had his little hissy-fit.
Important FM operating note: When you hear Drew on the bird, let him pass his grid or he'll switch modes on you.
Over & out.

(flameproof suit ON) (soapbox mode ON) While we're on the subject of FM satellite operating etiquette... Field Day isn't far off, and perhaps it's not too early to start reminding people that the "one contact per FM satellite" rule means just that: ONE contact. Not "only one LOGGED contact"... ONE. CONTACT. PERIOD. The rule was intended to provide more opportunities for stations to make a FD contact by getting those who had already made one OFF the birds to make room for someone else. The big guns who camp out on the FM sats "handing out" contacts ("but I only logged one...") fail to realize that every contact they give out deprives another station of THEIR opportunity to make a contact. Two NEW stations could have made contact for every ONE contact "handed out" by the big gun. To put it another way, there are only so many QSO "slots" available per pass, and you're using someone else's slot. (soapbox mode OFF) George, KA3HSW
