Re: One-Laptop-per-Child two XO-1 ?
Hi Bob and the list,
I received my XO on Dec 17th. I haven't had much time to play with it yet, but I fired it up and it found the wireless network so that I could browse the web. Only two pages of documentation came with it. The rest is on the web, so browsing is definitely the first thing to do.
The user interface is very simplistic (as it is targeted to non-technical children, this makes sense), and I haven't yet figured out how to get to the command line. But it is small, light weight, and has lots of promise as a portable digi mode terminal.
So they are shipping. Hope you receive yours soon.

Did you get any kind of ship notification and tracking number before it was shipped? I've heard nothing since the email saying I'd get it before the holidays.
I got a message that it was on the way, and would arrive between Dec 14th and 24th. It also said that I would get another message, but got nothing else before it arrived.
