Can anyone tell me what the Yaesu G-5500 separation kit entails? Any pictures anywhere? I've checked AES, HRO, ect... but nobody shows a picture.

I had one 10 years ago. I think that it consisted of a mounting bracket and 4 screws.

Nothing "special" about it at all. It consists of some studs that screw into the tapped holes/threaded inserts on the elevation rotor where the bolts that hold it to the "U" bracket go, some flat and lock washers, nuts, and some clamps (looks like half a muffler clamp!) that will allow you to clamp the elevation rotor onto the mast installed into the azimuth rotor. You'll need a GC-38 mast clamp for the top of the azimuth rotor if you don't already have one. If you can get metric studs/washers/nuts the correct length locally, you could make your own pretty easily. Go to the Yeasu web page, find the G5500 and download the manual. Look on manual page 7 (Adobe page 9) for a list of headless bolts, nuts etc. including the sketch of how it all goes together.
