On 2024-02-29 the Iranian satellite PARS 1 was launched from Russia on a Soyuz 2 1B rocket into a 500 km sunsynchronous orbit. It was part a group of 18 small satellites that were launched together with the Russian weather satellite Meteor-M 2-4.

PARS 1 is an Earth observation satellite with a 15 km resolution camera. It has a telemetry downlink on 145.000 MHz and wideband data downlinks in the S-band and X-band.
