Mod to disable AGC in FT-847
Hi,
A couple of times over the years, there have been requests for a way to disable the AGC in the FT-847 for things like noise measurements. I came across a modification here http://www.frenning.dk/OZ1PIF_HOMEPAGE/FT-847%20AGC-Off%20Mod.htm which is reported to do that.

The pictures provided there also show how the crystal INRAD filters should be installed. I literally just came back from the post office with a box of INRAD filters for the 847 :)
Thanks!

...into the document I read that the resistor is 560 Ohms, but onto the foto seems to be... 56 Ohm (green-blue-black)!!! Illusion?

As Mark points out, in two places he writes 56Ohms, which judging from the picture should be 56 Ohms.
The top of this is actually http://www.frenning.dk/oz1pif.htm which has some other interesting references, and the e-mail for OZ1PIF should you have questions. I got the idea to bring out separate RX lines from Peter years ago.
