Can someone tell me what is inside the boom of the Arrow antenna ?
I am having troubles getting the longest 2m element through the boom
I don't want to force it

Air. In a split boom there is obviously a piece of metal pipe in the split.

My arrow is at home but the only reason I can imagine for this to happen is when the duplexer has moved into the boom more than needed. Take it out carefully and check for other objects inside the boom.

Nothing should be in the way of the threaded bolt. The boom is empty unless you have the diplexer from them and that isn't long enough to go up to where the reflector is connected.
Probably the holes in the boom are just a little tight or the threaded bolt is a bit bent. Try and "screw" it in with some pressure. Maybe try another element/bolt. If it is brand new this is normal. In this case it's okay to force it. You can shine a light inside the holes and see nothing is inside the boom.

There is a small section of copper pipe at the joining point between the two halves of the boom.
Did the copper pipe slip? Is the copper pipe longer than it should be?
Does your Arrow have the integrated Diplexer? Maybe the Diplexer cables are inside the boom?
Contact the Arrow manufacture - I'm sure they know the answer.
