mfj 270 lightning surge protector
hi all, i know this is off topic hope no one minds, but on the mfj 270 there is a in and a out, does anyone have one of these and know if the rig goes to the in or does the antenna? I wrote mfj but prob will take days to hear back from them and am in kind of a hurry, so trying here. thank you all, kc8gkf
I have something which appears to be exactly the same as the picture at the MFJ site. No input and output markings, however, nor is a preferred direction mentioned in the instruction sheet. Usually, there is just a cartridge which runs between the case and the center conductor, with no asymmetry of the parts.
For things like SWR bridges and antenna tuners, the side which goes to the rig is normally considered the input side, so if there is in fact a difference, that would be my guess.
