If your local hamfest is not showing up, then someone in your area needs to remember to put-out an HFEST-DDx object. where DD is the day of the month and X is the next unused letter in the alphabet for that day as shown on the above web page.
By also includign the "FFF.FFFMHz" of the talkin frequency, mobiles can tune right in when they get close. This must be the first 10 bytes of the object text.
