Re: [amsat-bb] FOX Telemetry upgrade problem
HiIt might mot be the answer but when I installed the upgrade I had the same problems.I noticed that the "FPSK" box was checked - I changed the setting to "FSK" and it now is working fine.Ken EatonGW1FKY
I think you mean *B*PSK, but I know what you mean. If you are letting FoxTelem track the satellites, you can also check "auto switch" so that FoxTelem will switch to the correct mode and band for the (Fox) satellite that is coming over.
Was this post in response to the question about using the IC9700 IQ mode?

If anyone else is seeing an issue with FoxTelem 1.08p, then please send me an email.
I am currently aware of two problems: 1. A message at start that says "Something is preventing FoxTelem from running". I have a fix for this and it is being tested. 2. An issue when running in IQ mode and reading data from the soundcard from a radio like the IC 9700. It seems that nothing decodes or the decode rate is very low.
If you are seeing either of these issues or any other problems please let me know.
If you got into a pickle and can't seem to go back to 1.07, then I can explain how to do that. You just need to replace the spacecraft.dat files with the old ones, or remove them so that 1.07 installs them fresh. Send me an email if you need instructions.

If you are seeing the issue "Something is preventing FoxTelem from running" then download 1.08q from here: http://amsat.us/FoxTelem/windows/ http://amsat.us/FoxTelem/linux/ http://amsat.us/FoxTelem/mac/
You can also patch any of the installations by replacing the jar file in your 1.08 install directory with this one: http://amsat.us/FoxTelem/test/FoxTelem.jar
Let me know if this fixes a problem for you.

Thanks for the reply and correction from Burns to the "typo" in my message.I was just responding with my observation and to confirm that the update worked OK with my change of setting. Also note I did not have the "Auto Mode " selected and secondly I use a "Funcube" dongle and do not have an IC 9700 as others were commenting about.Much appreciate your time and effort Chris with your valuable contributions of software to enhance the hobby.73Ken EatonGW1FKY
