Hello guys!
I will be in a quick grid trip vacation to the Western part of my country. I plan to operate from some rare grids, as last year.
All my efforts will be focused in EL81. Last year, I was not able to reach the coast to operate from EL81ax. It is the only portion of that grid which is on the big island.
We have a tentative plan but it is not sure, everything depends of transportation. If everything is OK, We will be leaving Cienfuegos (EL92) very early on April 3rd ; we hope to be in EL93 for the evening passes. On Friday 4th , we will continue trip to EL82, 81, 72 and 71. We plan to be on that area until Monday morning.
It is our plan but it may change. We won't have email capabilities during the trip. I will try to do some updates on the air. Operation will be on all Sat except AO-7.
See you on the birds!

Thanks to Hector for the four new grids as I just worked him on so50 from el71. Also thanks for sharing that you were going to be portable here on the amsat-bb.
Look forward to seeing more portable operations as the weather gets better. hi

I second this. Thanks for four new ones, Hector!
And a belated thanks to Wyatt for 42 (!) new ones the other week!
Maybe I'll head somewhere this summer and put a couple of grids on the air!

First we sent you an announcement of operation dates for W1AW/4 VA with a typo.
We will be operating April 9 - 11. We will not operate on April 8.
Reviewing passes that we can operate + or - obstructions with our low antenna and elevations these are the passes we believe we can work. Note from our FM 16 elevation of our antennas usually require 10 degree.
For a list of Satellite Passes, please email richard.siff@verizon.net. I will send you a word document the details. They will not attach on the BB.
On SO 50 maybe some one can turn the bird on for us. While once we set up we have a great signal, but set up is difficult for us.
If you want to call on CW we will respond to you, but we mostly will answer on SSB, unless the bird is quite.
We also ask you to email us at richard.siff@verizon.net your QSO information, to assure we have no typo errors in our log. As you can see mistakes happen.
Hope to work all of you.
God Bless
