Does anyone know of any PC, Mac or Linux-based software that does audio noise filtering, enhancement, notching, etc.?
Thanks and 73,

For non-real-time (editing files) it's hard to beat the free Audacity program written under the GPL and with tons of add-on filters available on the Net for free.

And for one of the broadcast industry staples, not free, the older Cool Edit Pro or it's current name, Adobe Audition.
I own no stock or have no interest in the above companies...I'm just a satisfied user.

I'll second that one. Ran it for years, and it does all kinds of good stuff. I am running an old version because I could not justify the upgrade cost when Adobe took it over.

There is also Gramofile that works in a terminal window. I have it on Mac and Linux, but it will probably work under Cygwin on MrSoftee crap.

Hi all,
Here is a site with 2 versions of an interesting audio processing software. One is free and the other is reasonably priced. Due to time contraints on my end, I've yet to try either to give an honest review. Maybe a few can run it through its course and post the results here on the BB.
