K4AMG has a LVB tracker. It lost memory and has been at least temporarily reset. It was purchased in 2013. The tracker and electronics are stored at another location. I think the chip is U-1, PIC16F876.
What is a vendor source for the chip?
God Bless

Retrofitting the LVB tracker with a Mega2560 is pretty simple. K3NG's code, the original 16x2 lcd, buttons and a shoehorn. Had to drill a few holes, too.
Added a GPS, it also has a stop/run switch as well as sun and moon tracking. Time out feature, blah, blah, blah.
Did I forget? It has a USB port. We have truly entered the new century.
Works just fine with PST rotator or satpc32.

If the PIC died likely needs replaced direct from source - not a off the shelf part/ custom programmed chip. Also abnormal for a PIC to wipe clean.
I also agree using mega to replace it has longer term viability.

Ditto I've made up 5 of the arduinos loaded with the K3NG software for G5400 antenna controllers. That code is a huge benefit to our amateur community.
Next I'm making an arduino with the same code configured for azimuth only for the hf beam.
Works great.
I'd recommend recycling what you can for the case and buttons Etc and put a 16x2 display on the mega and get it going that way.
Thanks, Mike
