Hi all, SO-67 worked great over Europe this morning. The downlink signal is the largest I have seen for years :-)
I used FMN with mike gain turned down. That is far the best way to work the uplink. Some stations with a too wide deviation even made the downlink change amplitude - or cut it off. I used normal FM on the receive side.
Worked G3VZV and IZ1ERR. Lots of other stations on.
Thanks for a new satellite for us to use. 73 OZ1MY Ib
SatPC32 is not automatically switching from NOR to REV when required. I have verified that the Doppler.sqf file is configured correctly. I have to manually switch the satellite mode.
I am using the ICOM CT-17 interface.
Thanks, Jeff - K7WIN

Hi Jeff; the REV/NOR parameter in Doppler.SQF does not switch the radio's tracking mode (Revers/Normal), but the tracking direction of SatPC32. The setting is important only is with SSB sats. If you tune the VFO knob, for example, 10 KHz up the program will tune the TX frequency also 10 KHz up if the parameter is NOR and 10 KHz down, if the parameter is REV. With FM sats the setting is meaningless because these sats work on fix channels. The frequency changes by the automatic Doppler correction change always in the opposite direction, regardless of the setting in Doppler.SQF. 73s, Erich, DK1TB
