K8YSE Western Grid Expedition QSL Status
All requests for qsl cards for my Western Grid Expedition, September 2014, have been processed as of December 3, 2014. If you have not sent for your cards yet please do so right away. Cards received after Christmas may not be processed until the Spring of 2015.
Thanks to all who took the time to work me. There were 22 stations worked on the FO-29 pass from DN21/DN22. A few years ago the activity on the ssb birds was such that working 20 stations on a single pass would not have happened. Many have moved up from the FM birds which is an indication that there is plenty of interest in satellites. Once more FM birds are launched, grid expeditioning will be more productive. But even with what we have to work with right now, many are making the effort to operate from grids away from home. This is very encouraging.
If you have not tried operating from grids other than your own, please consider doing so. You will find it very rewarding. And don't be afraid to ask someone to operate from a nearby grid. Sometimes that is all that it takes to get them to try it. 73, John K8YSE
