Dee Interdonato, NB2F died on April 8th. He was a long time Area Coordinator for NJ. Not only did he handle the booth at many NJ hamfests throughout the year but was also an invaluable help at Dayton. Several years ago, we needed help at the Greater Baltimore Hamboree & Computerfest. Dee and his wife,Ginny, drove down and worked the booth for 2 days.I could always count on him to"elmer " any new ham who had technical questions. Before retiring, Dee was the supervisor of the Radio Shop of the Port Authority of NY/NJ. He was a member of ANJRPC, BARA, Bergen County CERT, AMSAT and the Treasurer of BC FM Association. His funeral will be on Friday at 9:00 AM at Santangelo Funeral Home, 300 N Main St, Lodi NJ . In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to the Vietnam Veterans of America, 8719 Colesville Rd #100, Silver Spring MD 20910 or AMSAT, 850 Sligo Ave #600, Silver Spring MD 20910.

Dee was one of those people who did so many things, large and small, for AMSAT that it is hard to count them all. Whenever it involved outreach, news, and publicity, Dee was sure to be there, often behind the scenes. 73s to one of the great members and person.

This is such a shock! Among the many other things he did for AMSAT, Dee was one of the faithful ANS Bulletin Editors for several years. We will miss his periodic touch on the AMSAT News. My heart and prayers goe out to Ginny and the rest of his family.

It's very sad to hear this news about Dee. I've had the pleasure of chatting with him on occasion, but know him mostly by his impeccable reputation as the go-to person on so many subjects and issues dealing with ham radio. His invaluable help on the ARISSat-1 project should also be noted. He will be emormously missed.

This is very sad news.
Besides his work with AMSAT, I remember Dee as being one of the examiners who graded and/or signed my Proof of Passing Certificate after my taking an FCC Commercial General Radiotelephone Operator License exam back in the mid-1990s.
He will be missed.

I'm in shock. I just saw Dee at a NJ hamfest on March 17th, he was working the AMSAT booth with Ginny. Dee and I worked the New Jersey area AMSAT booth's together several times over the years. This is a great loss to the AMSAT community.

Indeed, Dee will be missed - having been so helpful in countless ways! He was one of my special friends. Meeting up with Dee at Dayton or at a Symposium always was a good time.

This is sad to hear. I have visited with Dee at the AMSAT Symposiums the last few years regarding ARISS/school contacts. We will all miss him and the way he helped to promote AMSAT. My condolences to his wife, Ginny and family.

It is with great sadness that I learned of Dee's passing today.
Dee was a long time friend and hard working AMSAT volunteer. He took his AMSAT Area Coordinator position seriously, by continuously representing AMSAT at many, many hamfests over the years. He was a primary resource in responding to questions via the Web site and people calling the AMSAT office. You could always depend upon Dee to help out at the AMSAT booth at Dayton each year. He and Ginny would attend the yearly AMSAT Symposiums and Dee would many times be at the AMSAT Board Meetings. Every three weeks Dee would put together the ANS and distribute it. Dee will be sorely missed.
My condolences to Ginny and the family.
