Question to the list: does anyone have a G5500 azimuth rotator with a working motor available for parts? Or any other ideas for replacement?
I successfully transplanted a G-450 motor into one of my 5500s after a similar occurrence. The used 450 was less than the motor from Yaesu parts, and I sold the control box and housing on Ebay for almost as much as I picked the whole thing up for.
