Is there anything going on with p3e, or is it a fantasy to think we will ever have another Heo?

Hi Keith, N6ORS
P3E is like the Arabian Phoenix, there can be no doubt that the bird exists under construction in the labs of the AMSAT-DL but for the moment nobody know anything about the launch date.
By the way I believe in the efficiency of AMSAT-DL othervise after 4 + 1/2 year of waiting after the AO40 failure I had already removed all my satellite antennas from the roof changing my amateur radio for the hippic.

So, we don't have a HEO sat yet, the others are getting older, we are not interested in supporting ASMO/ESMO or expanding AMSAT via education outreach, and the board is looking for suggestions?

I would like to see an Annual Report to the membersip. I think that would be a great forum for the status of our mission. If there is a committee that does that I am happy to help. If not I would really like to know to whom I could make such a reccomendation.
Hello Robb and the BB,
AMSAT presents a report to the membership each year at the annual meeting during the Symposium, generally Saturday afternoon. See the Symposium registration page at http://www.amsat.org/amsat-new/symposium/2008/index.php We are planning on a Saturday session in Atlanta this year. Robin, AA5RC and his team in Atlanta are working on providing an Internet broadcast of the annual meeting, and possibly a way to take questions. It is a matter of getting the volunteers and equipment to do these things. I haven't announced this officially yet since I don't have all the i's dotted and t's crossed, but we are close.
