In the spirit of "Use what you have to begin with!", I have had surprising success with a simple magmount CB whip cut for 10m. It sits in a corner of the shack on a large metal serving tray "borrowed" from the XYL. I've worked stations over in Europe with it. 73 Nick KB1RVT

Nick, You're so right about "use it or lose it". I've often called CQ through entire passes and never made a QSO. After a few of those, I don't get very excited about trying again. 73, Bob K8BL
