Yes, I have used the KX3 on satellite, both on FO29 and AO7. However, I have not use computer control of the KX3. In theory it should be possible but there will need some code written and / or a interface designed to do so.
Just curious if anyone has tried to use the KX3 yet with the new 2 meter add on for satellites. I was thinking of the possibility of using it along with some sort of SDR dongle for downlink, but not sure if SatPC32 would support either KX3 or dongle.

SatPC32 can be used with the SDR programs HDSDR, SDR#, and SDR-Radio, all of which support the FUNcube Dongle Pro+ and other SDR dongles.
SatPC32 also supports Icom, Kenwood, and Yaesu radios using their native CAT commands. There is no direct support for the Elecraft KX3, so it will be a major challenge having SatPC32 control the KX3 unless the KX3 will emulate a Kenwood (or Yaesu or Icom).
