Hi All,
I'm posting this here because the Fox Delta Yahoo group seems to be quite inactive and I haven't received any responses that might fix this problem yet.
On my ST2, the azimuth indication doesn't stay at one heading. Instead, if it should be on say 210 degrees, it will rapidly change from 207, to 223, to 215, to 205, etc.. Fluctuating within a 15-20 degree range. After being in contact with Dinesh and having replaced the PIC and crystal, the problem persists.
Any ideas of what could be causing this?
Thanks,
Tim

Crap in the position-sensor pot? Bad voltage regulation feeding the high side of the position-sensor pot? Faulty lead or connection? Does it get worse if you shake the lead coming out of the control head, or going into the rotator?
I use a Fox Delta Interface, with Sat PC 32< with no problems. The degree readout never changes even 1 degree. Since mine works, it must be something in your hardware. I would check the Azmuth and Elevation Pots and use a contact cleaner on them. I would then check to make sure mu cables are not intermittent. Mine has worked perfectly for 3 years so I think the problem has to be one of the above.
Also possible is a cold solder joint, in the Fox Delta, where the Pot lines connect.
