I have been trying to find a used Eggbeater or similar antenna to use to listen for Satellites. The exchange on the USD to CND currency is a killer. I noticed many plans to build one on the internet. Any suggestions which one would be worth trying for RX to start?

“Mac” Wiley, W4YBO is 3-D printing parts for his Texas Potato Masher II Antenna and using #4 AWG Ground Wire. Very inexpensive (scrap wire from construction sites). https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4281484

Oops, this should have gone to the list. My two way wrist watch is acting up. Or build a j-pole for 70cm. All these can be built inexpensively with items from your local home improvement store. You might also contact local hams.
BTW, since it is for RX only, the dimensions aren't very critical. --- Ciao baby, catch you on the flip side 73 de W3AB/GEO
You can say "over", you can say "out", you just can't say "over and out".

If you have a piece of 300ohm TV line, I have had reasonable success with this simple low SWR, dual band antenna, specially on the more common low elevation passes:

If you are ok with a nuts, bolts and small tools, a horizontal-Vee dipole is a great fun project to do and use, I demo NOAA WX sats with it.
