Here is an article I saw about the US Army's recent Nanosat experiment.
Reading this I remembered how cool it was in 1990 when we hams enjoyed store and forward email messaging with a global scope thanks to PacSat and LuSat.
It may have been simple and un-glamorous, especially in light of today's internet and cel-a-phone capabilities - but it was certainly way ahead of its' time. I'm glad the Army is getting on board with the cubesat vision, I'm sure they can make good use of the capabilities...
