Hallo!
I am owner of both the Yaesu G-5400B and the G-5500 azimuth/elevation controller. Could someone tell me:
What kind of rotators (Azimuth and Elevation) came with the G-5400B?
What kind of rotators (Azimuth and Elevation) came with the G-5500?
None of the rotators are marked with type or part number.

Sven, The question is moot since the elevation rotor was only one of a kind- similar to the KR500 Kenpro and they made several rotors of the Azimuth end and none were the really sturdy units since the AZ EL system was designed to operate with lighter loads in the VHF and UHF ranges of antennas. Don't believe you may ever find a model # for what they sold these under. Good Luck. 73, Dee, NB2F

Hello, Sven LA6KJ
The only information I got from the schematic diagrams is that the azimuth motor for the G5400B is a KR-400 and it is an old model of azimuth rotator used about 25 years ago as a single azimutal unit.
If you don't have the manuals I can send to you the file.zip for the manuals of both G-5400B and G-5500 controllers in wich you can find all mechanical detailed drawings and all part numbers

Hi Roger, WA1KAT
I have used the KR-400 as a single unit for the azimuth and a KR-500 as a single unit for the elevation since OSCAR-7 and provided a preventional maintenance they worked very well for many years.
I have the manuals on paper and I have modified the control box of both adding relays and the electronics necessary to command it with PC for the automatic traking.
In a separate email I have sent to you the electrical schematic diagrams for the above modifications.
Tanks for the internet address of the manual.

Thanks Domenico and all others responding to my request about the G-5400B and the G-5500 controllers. I have got the information I need when it comes to both the G-5400B and the G-5500.
