Thanks Alan, WA4SCA, For the short contact. Solid 59 Copy most of the pass. I had trouble with my TX doppler. 73, Don N8DDK
Don,
Good to work you. Apparently there was a relatively narrow window where we could both access the uplink. I got your call, then heard what sounded like your being off frequency, and by the time you were back I could not access the bird to reply.
On the next pass I worked KA9ERV with excellent signals. The later 15:03 UTC pass was relatively low elevation, NW to SE of my QTH. I noticed what was probably ISS "obstacle fading" but when I had a clear shot, I was able to get in with FAR less power than in the pass yesterday with a roughly similar ground track, even at 1200 miles slant range.

Ron - N6PAA,
Thank you for the nice QSO via the ARISS L/V cross band repeater. I could hear you announcing your station for over 2 minutes prior to our QSO and our QSO lasted just about 2 minutes. I couldn't get in until ISS was above 15 degrees as I only have 10 watts on L Band. Very nice to be able to work the new one. I hope we can have this opportunity again in the future.
Happy New Year, Jeff - K7WIN
