Thanks for letting us know Steve. I remember the many enjoyable QSO's I had with Judd on the FOO birds. Last contact was on FO-20 4/2000. Seems like only yesterday.....

I to am saddened by the news of Judd's passing. I had many enjoyable contacts with him over the period between 1995 and 2000. Judd was on almost every pass. I'm sure we worked on all of the active analog birds during that period. It somehow seems appropriate that our last contact was via AO-10.

My good friend Bud w3ff of Buddipole fame is operating for a week with a group of friends from J6 St Lucia. He wanted me to pass along to us sat ops that the group will also be operating on the FM birds on a limited schedule starting soon. If I get more information on any kind of a schedule I will pass it along. Bud said that they brought along an arrow antenna.

I hope to work them! If anyone hears them, or more information becomes available, please post it here!
As a reminder, AMSAT has two Arrow antennas, and a TH-D7 available for loan to any member going on a DXpedition, or grid trip. This is the same gear used to activate K5D last year about this time. The D7 is programmed with Alpha-Memory tags for the FM satellites and has both rechargeable and AA battery packs, and is very simple to use. Contact me if you have a need to use it.

Good morning Drew. I was invited by Bud to cover the satellite com's on his yearly Dx-Peditions he does every year just before Orlando hamfest time. As I'm in the middle of building a new house that is getting seriously behind schedule I won't be able to make the trip to the Orlando hamfest or join the DX-Pedition this year. I made Bud aware that he could borrow whatever he needs from me, and I also told him about the available AMSAT loaner equipment.
