Looking for a simple omnidirectional antenna for AO-7 (B), FO-29 and VO-52, I came across a description of a J-Pole - dual band, single mast antenna, done by Dick Jansson, WD4FAB several years ago.
This looks like the solution for my situation. Before I start building, I would like to know, if somebody here has experience with this antenna.
Thanks and 73
You will be disappointed with the signals from any omni antenna with these satellites.
That is my experience.
Sorry to bring bad news.
A fairly small directional antenna will make you much happier.

My experience is any directional antenna BUT a couple of lindenblad give no results on these satellites. With two lindenblads (and masthead preamps) I worked many QSOs mainly on CW on most of the LEOs including AO-07 (as IS0/IZ8DWF mostly). They worked fine also for FM satellites on most passes.

I used eggbeaters for quite a while and they worked fine.
I had 18.3m feed lines (2m LMR400, 70cm LMR600) with preamps in the shack.
Receive preamps were required.
