H to everyone on this board. I've been thinking about purchasing the IC-9700. I noticed a lot of you arehaving trouble with the Satpc32 program. I'm sure there are other programs to use with the 9700 and ifso, what are some of you using and to what extent of success? I have heard of some drifting problemswith the 9700 and hope that has been resolved by Icom. Would need your expertise on these issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated before I decidewhether or not to make that purchase. Jerry...W8RQM
A lot of us are not having trouble too. I followed the published instructions to get my 9700 setup with Satpc32 and was successful. It's definitely not something where you can wing it. If you are wanting full doppler control and antenna control, Satpc32 will do it for you.

Okay, but don't let the BB lead you astray. There are many of us using SatPC32 with e IC-9700 without difficulty. I am sure those having problem will work it through. Both the IC-9700 and SatPC32 working together make an excellent satellite station.

Once I figured out the correct settings, I have had no issues with SatPC32 and my IC-9700. I think both are great.
And, I have no desense with my M2 LEO pack antennas on an 8' fiberglass boom.
