Hi Gents, Well, I'm with Thomas HB9SKA on this one.
For a satellite QSO you need to calculate the distance from the transmitter to the receiver ... ie, Station A to the satellite concerned ... and from the satellite to station B ... then add them together to get the true distance the signal travels.
Like Thomas says ... using the locator to locator measurement only gives the "terrestial" distance.

No. What matters is how we have administered this in the past and we must continue to do it that way so that we all operate on the same page. I am ignorant of how this has been administered but I am adamantly against changing the rules now if that is result of your suggestion.
