I have been trying to figure out my grid location and have came up with different solutions for the last two letters. What is the most accurate way to figure this out? I went to Hamcall I think the sites called, they have me in the wrong area code for my phone number and conflicts with the grid. I live in point place a suburb of Toledo,Ohio roughly a mile from Michigan State line and very close to Lake Erie !

Here's a decent one. Just enter your main grid square at the bottom then scroll through and look for your home QTH address. Alternatively if you have an Android phone or iPhone they have apps that use the GPS to tell you your grid square.

First Mike, you are in EN81gq, per QRZ.com, and second you dont need the last 2 letters for giving out grid locations on satellites, just the EN81, as we dont care where you are located to within 100 ft, hi.... Welcome to satellites, as it will be addictive once you get into it.

John Neeley expunged (w6zkh@att.net):

I would avoid using QRZ.com *if you want your 6 digit grid locator*....
I discovered they use the geographical center of your zip code, or some other method that isn't accurate. It's easy enough to get your lat-long from google earth and plug it into the Amsat grid calculator as well....
