April29, 2021 - Amateur Radio on the International Space Station, Inc. (ARISS-USA)is seeking volunteers to support our mission:
To provide and operate Amateur Radio systems onthe International Space Station (ISS) and elsewhere to inspire, educate, andengage youth and communities in science, technology, engineering, arts, andmathematics (STEAM) and to support ISS backup communications. ARISS-USA, is a 501(c)(3) charitable, educationaland scientific non-profit that was recently incorporated in the state ofMaryland in the USA.
Weare seeking volunteers with a can-do, collaborative attitude who can workeffectively as part of a team to support a variety of functions and roles. We have volunteer openings in several seniorleadership roles, including:
AssociateDirector
Treasurer
Secretary
Directorof Business Development
Directorof Volunteer Resources
Directorof Public Engagement
Directorof Engineering
We also have openingsfor volunteers who would support functions within the above teams as well asopenings within the ARISS-USA Operations, Engineering and Education teams.

Candidates acceptedinto senior leadership positions will be required to first serve in a six-monthprobationary period. All candidates forsenior leadership positions must be U.S. citizens.

Amateur Radio on the InternationalSpace Station (ARISS) is a cooperative venture of international amateur radiosocieties and the space agencies that support the International Space Station(ISS). In the United States, sponsorsare the Radio Amateur Satellite Corporation (AMSAT), the American Radio RelayLeague (ARRL), the ISS National Lab-Space Station Explorers, and NASA’s SpaceCommunications and Navigation program. The primary goal of ARISS is to promoteexploration of science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematicstopics by organizing scheduled contacts via amateur radio between crew membersaboard the ISS and students.
