Hi All, I was not able to get out to the AMSAT Symposium in California last week. But I was wondering where it'll be held next year. I didn't see anything on the AMSAT web page. Hope to see a lot of folks at the AMSAT forum in Fort Wayne next month. 73 de Doug..............KA8QCU

Where some of us regular attendees of the AMSAT Symposium in October also want to attend the 2007 ARISS meeting next October in Moscow, it would be nice if the 2007 AMSAT Symposium in Pittsburgh could be scheduled for the weekend of 20 Oct. 2007 or later to allow for ARISS meeting attendees to also attend the AMSAT Symposium in Pittsburgh.

Thanks to all that replied. Pittsburgh is only a 5-6 hour drive from southeastern Michigan. Sounds great! I'll have to check my atlas and see how the National Radio Astronomy Observatory in Green Bank, W.V. is from there.........7e Doug KA8QCU

Greenbank is 5-hours (with lunch break) from Pittsburgh Airport. I have attended the SARA Conference held there in June each year. 73's Ed - KL7UW SARA: http://www.radio-astronomy.org

Doug,
N4HY posted the following message. It seems to include a broad hint, though he may have been referring to something else.
Alan WA4SCA
Thank you John. I believe 2007 will be a very good year indeed for the AMSAT's. AMSAT-DL is getting closer to being able to make a big push on P3E. Kiwisat nears completion. Sunsat nears completion. Eagle is very close to beginning construction and as P3E gets launched, I believe we are going to be in testing of space systems in vacuum and shake. Next year's symposium, soon to be announced, will be within driving distance of you and it will be an exciting one I believe as we transition to getting done on P3E and you all seeing real Eagle hardware.
I hope we will see you in Pittsburgh next year.
73's Bob N4HY
That is not a hint. It is called me spilling the beans accidentally on-purpose.
;-).
