If you are going to be listening for ARISSat-1 on the 12th, and use SATPC32, you will be using the ISS for antenna tracking, but you will need to add a few modes in the DOPPLER.SQF file for the ISS:
ISS,145918.5,0,USB,,,0,0,BPSK/CW-2 ISS,145950.0,0,FM,,,0,0,VOICE/SSTV ISS,145938.5,0,USB,,,0,0,CW-1
If you use something other than ISS, such as Zarya, then substitute that so SATPC32 will know what you mean.
These will appear along with all the "real" ISS modes. The FM frequencies should be good, and the SSB modes as usual will need a little tweaking. Assuming your rig is calibrated, you should be at least close enough to hear the short transmit periods.
73s and good luck,

Does anyone know the part numbers ( and/or a source) for KP-2 440 replacement GaasFets?
Mine is now an attenuator.

The KP-2 70cm has two units located. One is the buffer: U309, and the actual preamp is MGF1402

According to the latest announcement, there will be a one event downlink on 437.550 MHz. This should add it to SATPC32:
ISS,437550.0,0,FM,,,0,0,APR12TEST

After watching seven THOUSAND emails go by, stating that they had not heard the ARISSat-1 bird, I have a few questions:
1) Is the ARISSat-1 still contained within the ISS?
2) If it is, when is it supposed to be launched from the ISS?
3) If it is no longer within the ISS, is it functional? (can I start listening)
Thanks,
Tyler KM3G
Tyler,
1. Yes. 2. July 12th EVA. 3. See 1 & 2 above.
Sorry, couldn't resist, though I should have.
The earlier deployment was scrubbed in favor of an ad hoc test, with deployment scheduled for an EVA in July. The reasons/logic for all this are somewhat convoluted and was covered in a detailed ANS release. As of now, and depending on what is decided about the recent test, it should go in July.
