I was hearing PO-101 just fine a few minutes ago, but had no luck getting into it. Is the uplink frequency 437.500mhz with a CTCSS of 141.3hz?

Yes, that should do it. Remember this one does not have AFC? Like the foxes, so you do need to tune the uplink for doppler.73Rick Tejera (K7TEJ)Saguaro Astronomy ClubWww.saguaroastro.orgThunderbird Astronomy ClubWww.w7tbc.org -------- Original message --------From: John Geiger via AMSAT-BB amsat-bb@amsat.org Date: 5/15/20 13:07 (GMT-07:00) To: AMSAT amsat-bb@amsat.org Subject: [amsat-bb] PO-101 uplink I was hearing PO-101 just fine a few minutes ago, but had no luck gettinginto it. I have trouble getting in on 5W. Someone posted they use 10w and it works better. YMMV. May be source of OP’s issue.

Brian,
The downlink is fine and strong, however from the past few days test: to get a good stable Rx I had to put up 15 watts into 14 tele. cir pol yagi which is quite a lot compared to other birds. same issues reported to me from ZS stations.
hope this helps.

This sounds like what I have experienced as well. I have made it into PO-101 at least once on 5W. That was a few months ago however

On 13 and 14 May I had 7 contacts on PO-101 using a 5 watt HT and an Arrow antenna. I did not notice any problems at the time. If anything, to me it seemed to be easier to get in than usual.
