Hi.
A common problem with Win 7 that I've noticed is that if the software is a bit older and isn't started as administrator, it can't access the com ports. So you might want to try and right click on the program icon and choose "run as administrator".
Might solve the problem....or not :-)

Hi Wilse, tell a bit more details, please. What Windows 7 do you run, 32-bit or 64-bit? Has your PC a physical COM port or a PCI card with 1 or more COM ports or do you use a USB-to-Serial adapter? The USB-to-Serial adapters require Windows 7 compatible drivers.
What is the COM port number of your port? You can check that with the Windows device manager, LPT and COM ports.
I have no problems with rotor steering via a COM port under Windows 7, 32-bit and Vista 32- and 64-bit via physical ports and also via USB-to-Serial adapters (Prolific and FTDI).
There is a link "Vista and Windows 7 compatibility" on my website www.dk1tb.de , Englisch page "Downloads" with detailed information.
