NASA calculates 3 - 6 months lifetime. It has to do with the original altitude of the ISS, the force and the angle.

wow, 5 years of time and money invensted into Arissat-1 for a 6 month run. Mean while, all other ISS projects put on hold. And it missed its lauch date of "fall 2007".

The spacecraft is expected to be operational for a period of between 3 and 6 months once in orbit. Please note that this is only an estimate.
