I was wondering if this satellite is totally dead. And if its not could commands be sent to the satellite to fire the steering rockets and burn up the fuel? I think I read that its still transmitting a beacon signal and that could be used to help any rocket shot at the satellite to help guide the rocket. I am just wondering if this is nothing more than a big show to say the USA can shoot down satellites like China did?

I just set up UISS with a SignaLink and AGW Packet Engine Pro and on the second pass was able to get an email through to myself,
"Message received by MacAPRS IGate station WU2Z Located in NO BRUNSWICK, NJ APRS path = VE4YZ>CQ,W3ADO-1*,qAo,VE5BNC-3" before the NO-44 pass was completed. Very Cool!
Sorry for ignoring those who tried to do some keyboard chatting with me. I say the incoming, e.g. form VA3POT, but, didn't know how to respond. What does everyone use as a terminal program to carry on a keyboard ? Or, do I just have to read the UISS manual to see that I could have done that with my existing setup?

Answering my own message... I just figured it out... in UISS double click the station I want to reply to in the MHeard list, add text, click send TEXT or F5.... too easy :-) This is more fun than FBBS, WinPack, TPK, OPENBCM et al.
See y'all in the digitbirds.
