Listen for them 435.820 +/- Doppler on FO-29, and remember they are half-duplex.

Yes, he was there announcing a receive freq of 820. I am trying to get word to them to remind them to tune around some on receive.

A cooperative effort from everyone would be needed to maximize the QSOs. If everyone has their power cranked to 11 and they keep calling, you'll never hear the 5 watt signal of K1N when they attempt to respond to someone.
That's probably too much to ask though. Maybe the only way to do a satellite DXpedition in an entity as rare as this is to have everyone register their interest, then assign skeds and have the DXpedition operator call through the list pre-prepared for each pass.

Back in the AO-40 (sobsob) days there were several Dxpeditions that were on. Whether there was more bandwidth, 2.4Ghz receive, operator discipline or whatever. It worked quite well. Those were the days my friends! 73 Bob W7LRD Seattle

I think DXpeditions could work well on the LEO satellites. Obviously with AO-40, you had minimal Doppler issues and hours and hours to make QSOs.
In this case, it's only four days until the end of the DXpedition, they are only working one satellite, are using minimal equipment, and the operator is not experienced in the intricacies of satellite operations. Plus it'll be at least another decade until another ham steps foot on the island. I'm very glad they brought the equipment and are trying to get us a new one on satellite, but I wish they had practiced before departure and started earlier in the DXpedition.
I would love for more DX operations to include satellite in their plans. There are always guys going to operate from entities well within LEO range of population centers that haven't been heard on the satellites in a long, long time. When I work those guys for the 100th time on HF, I always wish they had satellite equipment with them.
The question is, how do we make that happen?

2.4 had no impact, as it worked well on AO-10 and AO-13 in mode B.
High orbit meant more time and more relaxed Doppler adjustment.
