Gridders, The Q's from today's rove at EM21/31 have been uploadedto LoTW. 73, Bob K8BL
My thanks to you, Bob, for your patience yesterday on SO-50. You did give me two new grids (you've given me several new grids lately).
I was part of the mess on SO-50 and hope I didn't contribute to it. Part of my problem is that I am breaking in a new IC 9700 (after 27 wonderful years with a Yaesu FT-736R, which still works well), and I couldn't tell if the difficulties I observed were due to people messing up on the bird, or because I was screwing something up on the 9700. Those who have a 9700 will likely agree with me that it's a wonderful radio, but there is a learning curve. And I learn nothing fast. ;-)

Hi Berine, Not a problem. Glad to help with new Grids. That is my joy - rovingand giving new Grids to those in the hunt. Unfortunately, it is gettingmore difficult these days with new operators not being coached/taughton proper operating procedure. Perhaps, they just need to realize thatthe FM SATs are virtually FM Repeaters in the sky and only one signalcan normally get through cleanly. Getting confirmation of a contact isoften difficult and many times one has to just cross their fingers. It'svery nice to have a recording to listen to several times for verification. Hopefully, we can work from more Grids in the future if things smoothout. Otherwise, we'll just have to stick to Linear SATs where operatingis more mannerly and considerate. 73, Bob K8BL
