Programming software for FT-847?
Hi folks,
Any recommendations for configuration programming software for the Yeasu FT-847? Something similar to what Kenwood provides for their rigs - basic configs (memory frequency, mode, etc.), and preferably free, but nothing shows up on their site.
I see that RT Systems has something, but my frustration level isn't high enough to warrant buying both software and a special cable to do it. I was just trying to enter memory settings for AO-91 and AO-92, and managed to overwrite the wrong memory channel...
There's a bit of "shareware" by WB8NUT, but I can't verify that it actually works because until you buy it, it won't talk to the radio. Cheaper than the RT product, but I'm rather put off by its evaluation terms. No sale.
Nothing else comes up that seems viable (e.g. a website that still exists).
Any thoughts?
Thanks,

I have used this program. Works great and at $15 it is a bargain. 73, Adrian AA5UK

If you mainly want to load memories with freq/mode/tone/name etc, then CHIRP works nicely on my FT-817, so I assume it would also work for an 847. It also works on several Kenwood radios that I have tried!
