Judging from the amount of email I'm getting on the side, It does not appear that I'm the only unhappy "horse" in the barn.

Hi,
I'm the president of PropelX (www.propelX.com http://www.propelx.com/ ) and a member of AMSAT . I've come to the conclusion over that last couple of months of asking questions and offering to help on satellites (only to be jerked around), That the only space that AMSAT is concerned about is their own . I will not be renewing my membership.

What is the point of this?
All you guys say is that you are dissatisfied, and then drop your membership. It isn't the dramatic, head-turning move you think it is. WHY are you dissatisfied, and why it is important to amateur radio, satellite hams, and other AMSAT members.

I'm not going to rock the boat, I'm just getting out. I will say that members should take a close look at how their resources are being used.

I have looked hard at the resources and that's why I renew. The fact of Amateur radio and amateur radio satellites is changing. Amsat-NA will be an organization in that new world. Sorry you won't stay and help in that new world. It's not, as has been discussed in previous threads, what it was before launches became a commodity.
As there are many amateurs who are not members of the ARRL, you don't have to be a member of Amsat. Thanks for at least looking at Amsat.
