Inability to access ISS digi
Good Morning! I need to pick the corporate brain. I cannot access the ISS digi. I copy digital broadcasts form the ISS --- AOS to LOS. But not mine. This is my setup: W10 - UISS - SoundModem - SignaLink - FT-847 (1200 packet ). Computer control: W10 - SatPc32ISS - FT-847 (Split mode) for some reason SatPc32ISS only controls the downlink Frequency, so I have the uplink set at 145.825 Mhz. I have even tried trimming the uplink to agree with SatPc32ISS's uplink. I have tried different TX audio levels from barely triggering the SignaLink's VOX to very high. I believe that I have UISS setup properly, My TX packet format looks like everyone else's. NO SUCCESS!!
When I transmit a local SatGate picks up my packets and successfully sends them to aprs.fi and I show up in a few seconds on aprs.fi.
I have used W10 - WinLink Express - SoundModem - SignaLink - Ft-847 to use the WinLink system.
I have used W10 - Packet Engine Pro/Uiview32 - SignaLink - Ft-847 to use the local APRS sytsem.
A last moment thought: Is power a factor, would too much power complicate things ? I do not recall trying different power levels. My TX setup is FT-847 (Max power 50 w) - M2 14 element X- yagi - Yaesu 5500. Oh, by the way. No success with NO-84, even when I hear it. But it is nopt operational often.
So, folks, any ideas ?? Thank you, have a good day and stay safe, Covid free, 73

Good morning James,
Try one or both of these:
Don’t use narrow FM and correct the tx frequency manually. You can simply add 1khz every time the downlink change, ex: down 145827 up 145823, 145826-145824, etc... I personally use split mode on my radio, AFC on the downlink and manually changing the uplink.
Try not using the default 1200 baud settings on soundmodem and change TXBPF to 3000, untick non-ax25 filter and FX.25 mode to none.

I am frequently surprised to see references to a web page of mine that I have completely forgot even existed. Out of 450 web pages I have on line, it is pretty easy to forget. I had to use the ^F FIND function even to find donut hole effect on that page. (The effect means that if any IGate can hear your satellite station direct, then none of your packets will make it to the APRSIS marked as being via a satelllite because the uplink will be captured fierst and anything digipeated will all be considered dupes..

Hi All,
The Digi on the ISS repeats as the by radio signal pcakage what it receives and decodes. Although any Igate will no receive it, you should receive on your radio your own package dissipated by the radio on the ISS.
If you do not receive it, please check the PATH (also invisible spaces). Increase the delay between PTT and TX.
